Veresen Design Ltd (Company Number 14823091) operates the website veresen.com. Our registered office is at 260 Hospital St, Hockley, Birmingham B19 2YF, United Kingdom. For anything related to data protection you can reach us at [email protected] or by calling +44 121 220 6233. Marcus Thornfield acts as our data controller.
When you sign up for a course or fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and payment details. Payment processing goes through Stripe — we don't store card numbers on our servers. If you browse the site without submitting any forms, we collect anonymised usage data through cookies (see our cookie policy for the full breakdown).
We also keep records of course enrolment, completion status, and any feedback you submit. If you email us directly, we store those messages in our inbox for as long as they're relevant to an ongoing conversation or support request.
Mostly practical reasons: processing your course enrolment, sending you login credentials, issuing invoices, responding to your questions. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. If a third party needs access (say, Stripe for payments or Google Workspace for email), it's because they're directly involved in delivering the service you signed up for.
We may send occasional emails about new courses or schedule changes. You can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe or just telling us to stop — either works.
Account data stays active while you've got an active enrolment or an account with us. Financial records are kept for six years because HMRC requires it. If you ask us to delete your data, we'll remove everything we're not legally obligated to retain within 30 days.
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or request deletion. You can also object to certain types of processing or ask us to restrict how we use your data. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Request" and we'll respond within 30 calendar days.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to sort things out directly first, but that's entirely your call.
Some of the tools we use (Google Workspace, Stripe) process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we make sure adequate safeguards are in place — typically Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms approved by the ICO.
We'll update this page if anything material changes. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when we last made edits. We won't notify you individually for minor wording tweaks, but anything that affects your rights or how we handle data will be communicated by email.
